Could Sheetcrete possibly be used as Kit-House material ?

Easy to transport, fast to erect and superior strength concrete wall (over 20 Mpa).

Sheetcrete lends itself to being used in Kithome or Kithouse applications. No real building skills are required according to the suppliers, and all the sheets for a 200 s.q.m. house can easily be transported in a standard van with trailer. Of course, the reinforcing steel would need to be specified and approved by a local building engineer.

One hiccup however is that the builder needs to rent or buy a shotcrete machine to pump the mortar on to the metal sheets that ultimately form the walls of the house. These pumps are not always available, and when they are, they can be relatively expensive. According to the suppliers however, mortar can also be applied by hand.

There is an estimated 40% savings in labour, when compared to building a traditional brick house.
